Hunting And Fishing License
Resident licensed drivers applying for hunting and/or fishing license must have the following:
- Valid Alabama Driver’s License (except active duty military, spouse, dependents).
- Reside continuously in Alabama for 90 days.
Resident non-driver’s applying for hunting and/or fishing license must have the following:
- Alabama Non-Driver’s Identification
- Reside continuously in Alabama for 90 days.
Resident non-driver’s applying for hunting and/or fishing license WITHOUT a valid Alabama Non-Driver’s
ID must go to the License Commissioners office with at least two (2) of the following Residency Proof
Documents:
- School registration (required for 5-16 years old)
- Previous year tax return (mailing address only)
- Voter Registration Card
- Home property tax forms
- Health Insurance forms with address
- The last three (3) months of a utility bill with address
- Certificate of employment, if containing proof of permanent residency
- Other legal documents that may establish residency after approval by Alabama Conservation
Department. - MINORS WITHOUT THESE DOCUMENTS: Parent or guardian may produce proof of their
residency and confirm that the minor has resided with them for at least 90 days. - Residents 65 years of age and over are exempt from purchasing the following licenses (must have
Alabama driver’s license or proof of permanent residence and age. Does not include non-resident
land owners:- Hunting
- State Duck Stamp
- Fishing
- Wildlife Management Area
- Saltwater Fishing

Disabled Hunting and Fishing License
Applicant is responsible for providing current documentation dated within one year from date of application and proof of their permanent and total disability.
The following proof document is required:
Social Security Administration
- Benefits Verification Letter
- Benefits Planning Query (BPQY) Form SSA-2459
- These documents must state “disability benefits” in lieu of disability percentage.
Office of Personnel Management *Railroad Retirement *Retirement Systems of Alabama
- Document must indicate 100% permanent disability
Other Public or Private Entity – Disability statement from private business or govt. agency
- Document must indicate 100% permanent disability
